The ALPSS Kalo Challenge was an opportunity for students across the state to share their learning, cultivation, and culinary presentations for a year-long project.

With individual programs as teams, students were tasked with researching, growing, cultivating, and preparing the kalo they produced – and they were great at it.

Students from all around the state gathered in Honolulu and shared the products of their hard work with some of Hawai’i’s finest industry leaders, educators, and senators.
